Wai-Yi Wong is a London-based composer for Film and TV, orchestrator and arranger from Hong Kong. Her unique versatility and sensibilities have been exhibited in over 40 film, television and animation projects.

Wai-Yi's recent works include scoring for "Where is My 15 Minutes" (《哪一天我們會紅》), a 15-episode series produced by Makerville, ViuTV Hong Kong. She has also been selected as one of the 5 participants in Film Composers Lab 23-24, organised by Royal Scottish National Orchestra (RSNO), and rescored for “Birdwatching", an animation short film directed by Holly Summerson. It has been premiered in Glasgow Film Theatre in July 2024.

After graduating with a master degree of Scoring for Film, Television and Video Games from Berklee College of Music (2017) and a bachelor degree in Music from Hong Kong Baptist University (2013), Wai-Yi found her passion in exploring the possibility of making music as a unity with images.

With her academic training and working experience in pop-music industry, her music demonstrates diversity in genres, ranging from classical to rock to hybrid, and has been performed and recorded in Europe and Hong Kong. Her piece "Unchained" was recorded in AIR Studios in London; "Conation" was recorded by Chinese Music Virtuosi in Hong Kong. The piece has brought her the third prize of New Generation 2015, a composition contest organised by Hong Kong Composers' Guild and RTHK Radio 4.
